This is a very simple yet delicious butternut squash recipe. With just a hint of cinnamon and pumpkin spice to bring out the nutty flavor of the butternut squash. This is delicious all year round not just at the holidays 🙂 

Ingredients:

  • 1  Butternut Squash (halved and seeds removed)
  • 1  Cup of Salted Butter (melted)
  • 1  tsp of Pumpkin Pie Spice
  • 1/2  tsp of Cinnamon
  • Freshly Ground Black Pepper

Directions:

Preheat your oven to 375*

  1. Place your halved and cleaned butternut squash into a pan face up
  2. Generously pepper your squash halves
  3. Melt your butter in a bowl
  4. Add your pumpkin spice and cinnamon into your melted butter mix well
  5. Brush your entire top of your squash generously with the butter mixture
  6. Pour all the extra butter mixture into the squash hollowed cavities
  7. Put the squash into your preheated oven for 45 minutes to 1 hour
  8. Baste your squash every 20 minutes with the butter you poured into the hollowed cavity of the squash
  9. Remove your squash from the oven after 1 hour or when your squash is fork tender in the thickest part of the squash meat
  10. Scoop your squash into a serving dish mixing the butter into it well

 

Garnish with a few sprinkles of pumpkin pie spice, a tablespoon of butter and some fresh ground black pepper on the top 🙂
