What’s better on a cold snowy night than coming home to a hearty beef stew in the crockpot, nothing compares. This recipe will have your mouth watering as soon as you walk in the door. Enjoy this with a fresh loaf of bread or ladle it into a bread bowl to serve 🙂 

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs  Stew Beef
  • 2 lbs Baby Carrots
  • 4 large potatoes/ peeled and cut into 1 inch cubes
  • 3 Bay leaves
  • 16 oz Beef Broth
  • 1 Cup of flour

Directions:

  1.  Put the flour in ziplock bag add beef and shake to fully cover with flour.
  2. Layer the beef in the bottom of the crock pot
  3. Add all the potatoes on top of the beef
  4. Add all the carrots on top of the potatoes
  5. Put bay leaves in next
  6. Cover everything with the beef broth
  7. Cover and cook on high for 6-8 hours
  8. When finished thicken if needed by combining very hot water about 1 Cup and add 1/4 cup of flour. Whisk with a fork till smooth then stir into the broth until mixed in cover for about 15 more minutes to thicken
