These are a very delicious and really simple appetizer that I have made a few times.  I never have leftovers so I would suggest putting a few aside for yourself if you want some to enjoy yourself 🙂

Ingredients:

  • 2 LBS of Sweet Sausage
  • 1 1/2 Cups of Bisquick
  • 3  Cups of Extra Sharp Cheddar Cheese Shredded
  • 1  TBSP of Crushed Garlic
  • 2 tsp of Dried Minced Onion
  • 1 tsp of Italian Seasoning
  • 2 tsp of Crushed Hot Pepper Flakes (optional)

Directions:

Preheat your oven to 400*

  1. Cook your sausage with the crushed garlic, minced onion, italian seasoning and optional crushed red pepper flakes until cooked through and crumbly, about 10 minutes on medium high heat
  2. Drain your sausage of all the grease and set aside
  3. In a bowl combine your bisquick and cheese until well blended
  4. Add your cooked sausage to the bisquick, cheese mixture and stir to completely mix all the ingredients together
  5. Shape the mixture into 1 inch balls and place on a cookie sheet
  6. Put into your preheated oven at 400* for about 10 minutes
  7. Remove from the cookie sheet and serve immediately
  8. These are really delicious with a hot mustard sauce 😉
