These are a very delicious and really simple appetizer that I have made a few times. I never have leftovers so I would suggest putting a few aside for yourself if you want some to enjoy yourself 🙂
Ingredients:
- 2 LBS of Sweet Sausage
- 1 1/2 Cups of Bisquick
- 3 Cups of Extra Sharp Cheddar Cheese Shredded
- 1 TBSP of Crushed Garlic
- 2 tsp of Dried Minced Onion
- 1 tsp of Italian Seasoning
- 2 tsp of Crushed Hot Pepper Flakes (optional)
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 400*
- Cook your sausage with the crushed garlic, minced onion, italian seasoning and optional crushed red pepper flakes until cooked through and crumbly, about 10 minutes on medium high heat
- Drain your sausage of all the grease and set aside
- In a bowl combine your bisquick and cheese until well blended
- Add your cooked sausage to the bisquick, cheese mixture and stir to completely mix all the ingredients together
- Shape the mixture into 1 inch balls and place on a cookie sheet
- Put into your preheated oven at 400* for about 10 minutes
- Remove from the cookie sheet and serve immediately
- These are really delicious with a hot mustard sauce 😉
