This is a delicious moist bread that has a wonderful tangy fresh lemon icing on top. It will melt in your mouth and be gone as quick you put it out so you may want to double the recipe 😉 


Makes 1 loaf
Pre-heat oven to 350* 45 minutes
Butter the Loaf Pan (sides & bottom)

  • Batter
    2- Cups of Flour
    1- Cup of White Sugar
    3- tsp. Baking Powder
  • 1- tsp. Salt
  • 1- Egg
    1- Cup of Milk
    1- tsp. Fresh Lemon Peel

Lemon Icing
1- Fresh Lemon Squeezed & Seeds Removed
1/4- Cup Granulated Sugar


  1. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, egg, milk and fresh lemon peel until smooth.
  2. Pour into prepared loaf pan
  3. Bake in pre-heated oven for 45 minutes to 1 hour
  4. Let cool 20 minutes
  5. Poke holes on top of bread with a toothpick
  6. Prepare lemon icing by mixing the lemon juice and granulated sugar together until drizzle consistency
  7. Pour lemon icing on top of bread
  8. Let bread finish cooling for at least one hour before cutting
